The Kenya Scouts Association

Scouting is an international educational movement for young people based on values. Its voluntary, non-political, independent and it involves a growing number of young people-boys and girls without distinction of origin, race, gender, creed or ethnic/tribal background in accordance with the purpose, principles and method as conceived by the Founder.

It offers adults both men and women from all cultures the opportunity to support young people with the process of self development .Scouting is a worldwide commitment to peace and environment .After the first world war ,Lord Baden Powell said, “ We can deviate the paramilitary energy of young people through the activities of peace.” Scouting is therefore not a paramilitary movement.
